Environmental Policy

Quadracon Building provides Project Management, Construction and Building refurbishment services throughout Australia.

Our core deliverables are provided by subcontracting construction organisations, and as such our environmental objectives are in context with the procurement element of our organisation, as well as our influence on design with our clients and our contractors.

We will set, monitor and measure for effectiveness our goals & objectives to meet key targets to minimise our Environmental impact, our Corporate Social responsibility and adopt sustainable building practices.

In order to achieve our Environmental objectives and protect the Environment the following commitments have been made by Quadracon:

·         Adhere to our Procurement Procedure which evaluates subcontractor & supplier environmental management;

·         Use suppliers, wherever possible, who have similar environmental objectives. Giving preference to environmentally sustainable products and equipment when procuring;

·         Prevent pollution and minimise waste within our organisation via the provision of waste and recycling bins on site and at our branches, correct disposal of building related waste from site, repurposing of materials where achievable.

·         Provide design solutions and recommendations that influence our clients and contractors operational requirements to minimise excess materials and wastage on site;

·         Provide cost controlled budgets for procurement of materials, reducing the likelihood of over supplied goods and materials;

·         Identify and fulfill compliance obligations and other requirements applicable to Quadracon including Environment Protection Act (VIC), Protection of the Environment Operations Act (NSW) and Regulation, and relevant codes of practice across each state;

·         Review and improve the Environmental elements of the Business Management System in consultation with our HSEQ Committee and via feedback from our clients regarding our environmental performance at the end of projects;

·         Maintain our Aspects & Impacts register to identify how our Business interacts with the Environment and our Life Cycle activities.

·         Continued awareness of the Commonwealth Government’s Climate Change Act 2022 & the European Commission Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence legislation, who report on emission reduction targets.

We maintain and continuously improve a Business Management System that complies with the requirements of ISO 14001:2026.

Quadracon’s environmental policy is applicable to our Directors and employees. It expresses our ongoing commitment to understand, abide by, and regularly review these key principles and actions.
